Terms of Service

Today

These terms cover your use of PatternVault. The daily state, dial and brief are free to read by anyone; a Pro plan adds extra depth. Please read these terms — using PatternVault means you agree to them.

What PatternVault is

PatternVault measures and reports the objective condition of the US equity market, updated once per US close. It is an information product. It carries no view on any security, produces no signals, and never tells you what to do with money.

Your account

Signing in is only needed to manage a Pro plan and your account, and uses a one-time magic link sent to your email — there is no password. Keep access to your email secure, since anyone who can open that link can reach your account. You must be at least 18 to hold an account.

Pro plans and billing

Pro is available as a monthly or an annual plan at the prices shown on the upgrade page, in Australian dollars and inclusive of GST — the price shown is the price you pay. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Your plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period — each month for monthly, each year for annual — at the then-current price, until you cancel.

Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel anytime through the Stripe billing portal — a couple of clicks, no email or phone call needed. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your Pro access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. On top of that, if you change your mind within 14 days of a charge, email [email protected] for a full refund, no questions asked. None of this limits the rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

General information only

Everything in PatternVault is factual market measurement with stated methodology. It is general information only: it does not consider your objectives, financial situation or needs, and it is not financial product advice. You are responsible for your own financial decisions, and for seeking licensed advice before acting. Past market patterns do not determine future outcomes.

Availability and liability

We work to keep PatternVault accurate and available, but we provide it “as is” and cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or complete. To the extent the law allows, PatternVault and The Lost Co are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the product. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms as the product evolves; material changes will be reflected here. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales have jurisdiction.

This page describes our current terms and will be finalised with Australian legal review before public launch.
